Can a person with a felony become a UXO Tech?
Can a person with a felony become a UXO Tech? I received a felony in 2009 for a car accident while under the influence of alcohol.
This is the type of question I hear frequently but haven't addressed sufficiently.
The answer is No!

Basically it comes down to having an Explosives handlers permit.
If you have a felony on your record, you know you're losing Rights. Can't buy weapons, Vote, etc.
I don't see the government any time soon allowing folks with felonies on their records have access to explosives.
We all make mistakes along this journey and maybe you can have your felony expunged. I actually have a great friend, who is a true professional and leader in his area of expertise, who also has a felony conviction due to a traffic related death.
He turned out just fine and the great news is you can too!
